Ao Thong Nai Pan Noi & Yai Nightlife
What to Do at Night in Ao Thong Nai Pan Noi & Yai
Sleepy by day and somewhat less so by night, the nightlife in Thong Nai Pan Noi stretches along the village’s main road. Basically, the restaurants introduce more dancing music as the evening progresses and some have out-and-out DJs manning the decks with people dancing the night away and later taking advantage of the late-night eateries such as Handsome Sandwiches for a late night/early morning snack. It all happens within a few hundred metres of each other along this stretch so you’ll be free to check out where it’s happening without exertion.
Thong Nai Pan Yai’s nightlife is more beachside – which is not a bad thing, with fire dancing and set nights for most places. The trouble is that many bars open and close within weeks here so it’s really up to you to go looking for what’s open and don’t bother until it’s late.
Beach Bar at Havana Beach Resort
On one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, Beach Bar at Havana Beach Resort chooses to plant a 40” TV above its bar so that punters turn their backs on the sun sinking on the horizon, colourful long-tail boats and the turquoise sparkling sea in order to watch 22 men chasing a ball. Madness? Your call.
Opening Hours: 10:00 – lateLocation: at Havana Beach Resort on Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach
Easy Corner
You can both eat and dance at Easy Corner as the restaurant/bar features a DJ. Just down the street from Luna and Sand, partiers will have a good evening out skipping between these relaxed and friendly places.
Location: Main Street, Noi
Luna Lounge
A bit more up-to-date looking than its competitors, Luna has tapas, cocktails, tempting salad combinations, a good choice of international dishes and wine with free WiFi. In a village where internet connections are sometimes ridiculously expensive Luna’s worth checking out with your laptop and an appetite.
Opening Hours: 18:30 – lateLocation: Noi, up the road from Sand
Sand
Standing by the massage parlours on the outskirts of town, Sand is a little more upbeat than the simpler, nearby beach bamboo-and-thatch night venues. Promising “an international funky house DJ” so you’ll get more lively tunes than Bob Marley here. Also dealing in tattoos and car & motorcycle hire
Opening Hours: 18:30 – lateLocation: Noi Main Street
